Good results for BUWOG Bauträger GmbH: it’s one of the beneficiaries of a nationwide study by the F.A.Z. Institute and IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research and has been awarded the certificate for “Germany’s most sought-after residential company 2022”.
In Berlin-Spandau, BUWOG was planning to build 320 new rental apartments and a daycare centre. But before the construction work could begin, a strictly protected species of lizard had to be relocated to a substitute habitat.
For the first time, BUWOG is opening up part of the Bautz site in Hanau – for a good cause and only briefly. An art auction will take place in a large hall at Josef-Bautz-Strasse 6 in Großauheim on 5 December 2021.
Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The real estate industry is also enormously important for climate protection. The future of housing is to be more climate-friendly, less congested and more liveable. 70 years after its foundation, BUWOG stands more than ever for technical progress that places the focus on people and nature.
2021 is a very special year for us: We are celebrating 70 years of BUWOG and with it 70 years of “happy living”. And we want to use this anniversary as an opportunity to portray BUWOG in all its diversity as part of a blog series. Over the coming weeks, we will be posting a series of articles focusing on some of the company’s key business areas and strategic principles. We will begin with a look back at our history, a quick run-through from the company’s beginnings in 1951 to the most recent developments.
BUWOG develops new buildings in accordance with environmental, economic and social sustainability criteria. A key aspect in this regard is considering the sustainability of construction materials over the entire life cycle of a building – from initial planning and design to the complete recycling of the materials used. To accomplish this, BUWOG has joined Madaster, a digital library of building materials.
