The annual German Brand Awards were presented in Berlin on 9 June 2022. The distinction awards good design and achievements in the field of product development and communication. BUWOG won in three classes of the competition, one of them in the architecture category “Building & Elements”.

The 2022 conference of the Austrian Climate Youth Council recently took place at the Vienna Hofburg and Palais Epstein. Two BUWOG apprentices, Florian Ludwig and Julia Dorner, were in attendance and reported on their experiences with the discussion of current climate issues. The focus of the event was on environmentally friendly mobility.
Good results for BUWOG Bauträger GmbH: it’s one of the beneficiaries of a nationwide study by the F.A.Z. Institute and IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research and has been awarded the certificate for “Germany’s most sought-after residential company 2022”.
In Berlin-Spandau, BUWOG was planning to build 320 new rental apartments and a daycare centre. But before the construction work could begin, a strictly protected species of lizard had to be relocated to a substitute habitat.
For the first time, BUWOG is opening up part of the Bautz site in Hanau – for a good cause and only briefly. An art auction will take place in a large hall at Josef-Bautz-Strasse 6 in Großauheim on 5 December 2021.
Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The real estate industry is also enormously important for climate protection. For example, the building sector accounts for a large part of CO2 emissions. The future of housing should therefore become greener and more climate friendly. Beyond that: sustainable building and living also mean facing social and economic responsibility. BUWOG is setting a good example, having pursued an ambitious sustainability agenda in Germany and Austria for many years.
