Electromobility is spreading more and more. At least 600,000 electric cars are already on the road in Germany – and the trend is still on the up. The real estate industry also has a special responsibility to ensure that electric vehicles can also be recharged at a charging station at home. BUWOG is setting a good example in this respect.

In April 2020, the takeover of Hessian project developer Bien-Ries was completed, and the integration is now moving along. As of January 2021, the Hanau-based company will be “rebranded”: Bien-Ries will become BUWOG. This means that new construction activity will be managed nationwide under the uniform brand name.

A good example is the new construction project BUWOG XBERG LIVING in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Here a grey rear courtyard is gradually being turned into a green oasis.
At the award ceremony in Berlin BUWOG Bauträger GmbH received the certificate in the category “Excellent Brand”. The German Brand Award is presented by a jury led by Andrej Kupetz (German Design Council). The jurors include Prof. Mike Richter (Vice Dean of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Simone Roth (Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences).
In the northwest of Hamburg, the new centre of Stellingen is being built on an area of around seven hectares. For the construction sites E and F in a central location on Sportplatzring BUWOG is cooperating with social welfare organisations to create a supply of housing.
Perfect timing for the Berlinale – and yet an unusual event featuring a topping-out wreath rather than a red carpet: in Berlin-Weißensee BUWOG celebrated the topping out for the new construction project MAY & NIELSEN, thus recalling Berlin’s history in film.
