The urban development project in the north of Potsdam is the recipient of an award in the state “CO2-neutral Development” competition. As the largest private investor, BUWOG is contributing significantly to this large-scale urban development project.
“BUWOG in Dialogue” is a discussion format that BUWOG has already established in Vienna as a platform for topics relating to urban development, construction and architecture. The event series now regularly invites people to exchange ideas with representatives from the areas of business, politics, administration and science in Berlin as well. The kick-off event focused on serial and modular construction with timber.
In our series “BUWOG up close and personal”, we introduce people who are working on current BUWOG projects and on issues that pertain to the future. They are all united by the aim of bringing BUWOG’s slogan of “happy living” to life. We talk with Martin Petermann, head of the Architecture + Building Strategy department at BUWOG.
The Danish word “hygge” basically conveys a sense of cosiness, warmth or comfort. BUWOG chose this term for a new development in Berlin-Kaulsdorf, which has now celebrated its topping out: BUWOG HYGGE HÖFE.
From the idea at its inception to completion, new construction and neighbourhood development are often long-term undertakings that require a great deal of patience and creativity. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. So the joy is all the greater when new apartments reach the finish line – as is now the case in Berlin with the BUWOG HELLING HOF project.
Where just three years ago a lonely town hall stood on a barren meadow, a new urban development has emerged: BUWOG NEUE MITTE SCHÖNEFELD. While the first residents move in, the boom in the airport community continues.
The HALSKE SONNENGÄRTEN quarter in the Berlin-Spandau district is nearing completion. Now the renting has started – good news for all who are looking for an apartment.
