Culinary pleasures, the finest art and a successful auction for a worthy cause: at this year’s Art Dinner, the civic foundation Bürgerstiftung Berlin raised a total of EUR 225,000 for cultural and social projects in the capital. The polis Convention, one of the leading events for urban and neighbourhood development in Germany, is just around the corner again. On 24 and 25 April 2024, over 300 exhibitors will present their latest developments and issues of interest in Düsseldorf. BUWOG will also be presenting its current and future projects there. The two-day programme will focus on sustainability in planning and construction, technical innovations and opportunities for refurbishing existing buildings.
Creating ample new residential space is only possible with larger-scale developments. Throughout Germany, BUWOG is a partner to cities and municipalities, involved in the creation of ambitious developments with several hundred or several thousand apartments. This is also the case in the north of Potsdam, where an entirely new urban district is being constructed in Krampnitz. When it is completed in ten years, it will provide residential space for around 10,000 people, as well as 3,000 jobs and the necessary infrastructure – from local shops and urban green areas to daycare centres and schools.

Julia Dorner’s journey as an apprentice also began with the start of BUWOG’s apprenticeship programme in September 2021. Less than two years later, she completed her training with honours and took on the next challenge with an assistant position in commercial property management. Now, nearly six months later, she looks back on her apprenticeship at BUWOG.
