Construction progress
Flats in Vienna are highly coveted, so I’m all the more delighted when I find out from colleagues in structural engineering or sales about a new “baby”, that is, that a residential project has been completed and hence new residential space created. A lot has happened on the Rosa Jochmann Ring project since my last visit in winter of 2013. At that time the facility was the typical chaotic construction site one is familiar with. Heavy transporters were driving in and out, the construction workers were busily going about their work and darting around the building site, and the noise level was high. Yesterday I was surprised by a large building with a white facade, loggia and balconies surrounded by open green areas.
As I’m a fan of sustainable and environmentally friendly living, I would also like to mention the charging station for e-bikes. The station can be used by owners and tenants at no charge and is supplied with energy from the project’s own solar installation. As I am firmly convinced that we have to respect our environment, especially for our children and subsequent generations, the combination of kindergarten with environmentally friendly functions like an e-bike loading station is a marvellous thing.
Good infrastructure
The residential project can be reached very easily by public transport or by car. The following options are some of those available:
– the bus line 71 A, tram line 6 and underground line U3 Simmering
– by car via the A4 motorway or Simmeringer Hauptstraße
– the Vienna International Airport in Schwechat is approx. 12 minutes away
The project’s infrastructure is typical of that of a big city; a kindergarten is embedded in the project. Schools, supermarkets, pharmacies, bank locations and a drugstore are located in the vicinity.
A home, ideal for families and singles
The project offers various forms of financing; in addition to privately financed and subsidised freehold flats, there are also subsidised rental flats. This, of course, is ideal mainly for young families seeking a lovely home where they can feel comfortable. For example, the large number of three-bedroom rental flats are an ideal location for families with children and for families wanting to have children. In particular, the integrated kindergarten and the green areas create an ideal place for children to grow and develop. For those who want to permanently settle and prefer to buy, there are freehold flats with three to five rooms available. My personal highlight are the spacious top floor flats; they are also available for a single household and provide room for growth and development.
Facts on the project
BUWOG’s new residential project has been completed in the 11th district of Vienna. The project comprises 20 privately financed freehold flats as well as 14 subsidised freehold flats on the top floor and 64 subsidised rentals with the option to buy. Please click here for further information.
I am looking forward to my next visit, when the flats are handed over to their new owners and tenants and the project is filled with life.
