BUWOG’s project development team works with passion and expertise to effectively implement innovative concepts and develop premium real estate projects that meet the needs of our customers. The department opened its doors in March 2024 to offer colleagues in the company deeper insights into the latest developments and technologies in their field and into current development projects.
BUWOG’s internal open days in project development took place both at the Vienna office and at the Villach branch. The aim of the event was to provide interested colleagues insights into the daily work of our development managers, to illustrate the progress of ongoing projects and to provide an opportunity to discuss planning, development and challenges in project development. The event also gave visitors the opportunity to meet colleagues from the department in person and find out more about their roles and responsibilities.
The open days were not only used as a platform for dialogue and networking between different departments, however; as a special highlight, visitors also had the chance to explore the future BUWOG project MY.TURN using virtual reality glasses.
This technology is being implemented increasingly in project development. VR glasses make it possible to experience virtual environments even before a physical model exists and therefore to obtain a realistic picture of the end product. By viewing projects virtually during the planning phase, potential problems can be identified more quickly and ambiguities can be discussed and clarified more effectively within the team. In short, VR glasses promote efficiency, accuracy and creativity in project development and help carry out premium real estate projects faster and more cost-effectively.
The visitors were also enthusiastic about experiencing the applications and benefits of VR technology in project development up close and were able to quickly realise its enormous potential.
The internal open days in project development were characterised by lively discussions, new insights and the sharing of ideas. The project development team was delighted with the considerable interest and large number of visitors from every department of the company and is convinced that the success of the event calls attention to the importance of ongoing innovation and exchange within BUWOG.
